How to play

Two stick figures, one rooftop. Each turn you both secretly plan three moves, then they play out at the same time — and whoever's blow lands first wins the moment.

Play

Fight the CPU

Plan your moves each turn, knock the opponent out or off the roof. Pick it with the Play tab in the top-left.

Choreograph

Direct a fight scene

No opponent, no rules — build a fight beat by beat from dropdowns and watch it play. Use the Choreograph tab.

Your first fight in 60 seconds

  1. Open the Play tab. Under the move cards, set Difficulty to Easy — no timer, take as long as you like.
  2. Click two move cards: Dash in then Flick (or press Q then 1). They appear in your tape, left to right.
  3. Press the big pink FIGHT button (or Enter). Both fighters do their moves at the same time.
  4. Watch the callout (CLASH, PARRY, …) and the health bars. The CPU's moves are now revealed so you can learn from them.
  5. Plan the next turn. Keep going until someone's health runs out or they get knocked off the edge.

Distance matters. You start too far apart to hit. A Flick only reaches about half the gap — Dash in first, or use Lunge, which moves you forward as it strikes.

Reading a fightWhat you see while a turn plays.

dashingwinding up hittingrecovering guardingparrying chargingstunned

Read the strip left to right like a timeline. Whoever's red bar starts first lands first — that's the whole game. If both start on the same instant, the blades clash.

Who beats whatNo chart to memorise — it all comes from timing. But here's the gist.

FlickbeatsCleave

…while the Cleave is still winding up. Fast hits interrupt slow ones.

GuardbeatsFlick, Lunge

Blocks them for most of a turn (0.7 s). You get pushed back a little.

CleavebeatsGuard

GUARD BREAK — damage, big knockback and a long stun.

Parrybeatsany blade hit

If the hit arrives in its short window, it's cancelled and you get a free Riposte.

FeintbeatsParry

Looks like a Cleave. They parry nothing and are stuck recovering.

Dash outbeatseverything…

…while you're moving. But it carries you toward the edge.

Charge ×2beatsFlick

ARMOR: a level-2 charged attack takes the Flick's damage and keeps going.

Push, PullignoreGuard, Parry

Mystic moves. No damage — they move people. Push near the edge = RING OUT.

Winning

Knock their health to zero (K.O.), or knock them off either end of the roof (RING OUT) — the yellow-and-black stripes mark the edges. Charge you build up glows around your fighter and shows as yellow ◆ under your health; it carries into the next turn, but fizzles if you don't use it there.

Every move

Each turn you have 4 AP and up to 3 slots. "Hits after" is how long the attack winds up — lower is faster.

MoveKeyAPHits afterDamageWhat it does

Charged attacks add +1 damage per charge level and hit harder and further. Health is 6.

After the round

Watching the whole fight back

After Watch the fight, a video bar appears under the stage and plays every turn of the round back to back.

Choreograph modeDirect a fight scene — every beat is a row, every move a dropdown.

Same moves as Play, plus two extra groups

The move dropdown lists every Play move under the same name (Flick, Cleave, Lunge, Guard, Parry, Dash in/out, Charge, Feint, Wait, Push, Pull), then two groups only Choreograph needs:

To make a blow land, put the attack on one side, the reaction (or Parry, Guard, Duck…) on the other, and link them with → or ←. With = both fighters just move at once and nothing connects.

Fastest way to learn it: pick an example from Examples…, change one dropdown, and watch what happens. The fight replays as you edit.
